SLOVENIA

Ljubljana,, Piran,,Bled...--------CLICK ON SMALL PHOTOS FOR INFORMATION.

Slovenia is a small country with a population of less than 2 million.--- The capital city is Ljubljana, with Baroque and Habsburg architecture, and a lovely place ,with riverside cafes.,and a castle high above the town.--The river is the Ljubljanica river. I had arrived by train from Munich Germany. I stayed 4 nights in Ljubljana. ---I took a trip out by train and bus to Piran a place located on the tip of a long peninsula into the Adriatic Sea. Piran is a delightful place compact and medieval. An old port with salt mines still producing today. It is a 400 m walk from the bus station to Tartinjev Rrg, the main square.-------Another trip was to Lake Bled by train. The town of Bled dates from 1004 AD. The nearest rail station to Bled is Bled Jezero.---I continued my holiday by moving on to Zargreb by train. ----I enjoyed my stay in Slovenia.-------100_0902.JPG100_0903.JPG100_0904.JPG100_0905.JPG100_0908.JPG100_0909.JPG100_0913.JPG100_0915.JPG100_0921.JPG100_0922.JPG100_0926.JPG100_0930.JPG100_0932.JPG100_0934.JPG100_0935.JPG100_0937.JPG100_0938.JPG100_0940.JPG100_0943.JPG100_0948.JPG100_0950.JPG100_0952.JPG100_0953.JPG100_0956.JPG100_0958.JPG
